Len Gross
Watercolors

With subjects predominantly Wyoming based, Len Gross creates works in watercolor that range from purely abstract to just a slightly different perspective on a theme. While his father taught older kids the ins and outs of painting, Len hung around in the background absorbing as much as he could. Over the next 40 years, Len studied under many different teachers but still retained the lessons learned as a small boy; to not be afraid of color, don’t shy away from a new technique and give everything a try. Until the past two years, Len worked exclusively in oils paints. Now, watercolors take up the majority of his time. He finds them challenging, frustrating and limitless in their expression. There is a full range of Len’s work at the Story Art Station from the inexpensive pen and ink washes to the larger original works.
